Big Lab Afternoon
Explore the Big Lab! Make boats to sail in our Water Works pool, build a roller coaster on the Giant Wall, or drop objects off the Mega Tower! The Big Lab is our new educational facility, not normally open to the public. Work with your family or on your own to complete challenges at each of the platforms.
Registration is open to all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No unaccompanied children will be admitted.

In this week long program, learn about ecology at the California Science Center as you prepare to venture out into the wilderness on a camping trip! Discover how to collect and identify different species in Southern California . Make simple tools to use for navigation in the woods. Address safety issues biologists and ecologists face in the field as you prepare your camping supplies. Put everything you’ve learned to the test during a two-day, one-night camping trip.
Registration is open to students entering grades 5-8. Fee includes dinner, breakfast, and lunch during the camping trip, and tent and backpack rental. Students will spend Thursday night at a campsite in the Santa Monica Mountains.
Dates: August 18 - 22
Times for Monday - Wednesday classes: 9 am - 3 pm
Camping trip will be from 9 am Thursday to 4 pm Friday
