This workshop will show you how to ignite your student’s natural love for learning by delivering brain-compatible lessons. Receive materials to use in your classroom! Dr. Kenneth Wesson, VP of Delta Education and international educator and expert on brain development returns as the keynote speaker for this conference.

Experience hands-on Science and Math activities using the Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) curricula! This workshop is for teachers in grades K-8 and will provide hands-on, inquiry based experiences with GEMS Science and Math units that are aligned with the California State Science Standards and the National Science Standards.
Participants will receive GEMS guides for every session taken, may earn 1 salary point (if both sessions are attended) and/or professional growth hours, and learn ways to increase your knowledge of the resources available at the California Science Center.

How do children learn best? When they are having fun! Come to a workshop that will demonstrate the connection between fun and learning. Experience a series of activities that highlight was use and make toys to teach Science and Math concepts. Receive materials to use in your classroom! Dr. Maisha Hazzard, Director of Strategic Development at Khepra International, returns as the keynote speaker for this workshop.
