General
Information
The
Big Lab is located in the Wallis Annenberg Building
for Science Learning and Innovation on the campus of
the California Science Center. Due to walking around
the campus, please try to arrive at the Science Center
15 minutes prior to the start of your first Big Lab session.
Each
Big Lab session lasts 75 minutes and can accommodate
up to 35 students. Each program will focus on a science concept that is appropriate to your grade.

Cost
$8
per student per 75 minute session. Adults are free.
$100
non-refundable deposit due 2 weeks prior to your scheduled program date. The deposit is applicable to the total
program fee. Failure to issue a deposit 2 weeks prior to your scheduled date will result in the loss of your date. The balance of your payment is due on your scheduled program date.
Check,
credit card (AMEX, MC, or Visa), or purchase order
are our accepted forms of payment.
Policies
Minimum
of 20 students per session.
All
programs must be rescheduled 2 weeks prior to the original
date. Failure to issue a deposit 2 weeks prior to program date will result in loss of reservation.
To
cancel a program you must call (213) 744-7444 at least
2 weeks prior to your scheduled program date. Program
fees paid in-full will be refunded (less the deposit
fee). Without above notice of cancellation,
your group will be charged the cost of the scheduled
program.
Weather
Policy - The Big Lab is a partially open-aired facility
and subject to changes in weather conditions. In the
event that weather prevents programming in the Big
Lab, the group will be moved to adjacent classroom
facilities.
